Support, Training and Pay
Looking after our carers is an essential part of TFP's professional platform.
All of our carers are visited regularly in the home by experienced TFP social workers, and you’ll have 24 hour support for guidance, information or help with any issues or problems.
Great training, 24hr support and a generous allowance
We have stimulating and relevant training that includes achieving at least NVQ level 2 in accordance with CWDC (Children’s Workforce Development Compliance) requirements in your first year, and the opportunity to go on to take level 3.
Our regular training programme includes days on ‘Managing Difficult Behaviour’ and ‘Separation & Loss’, which you can see here as part of our training calendar.
We offer generous rates of up to £400 per week per child, dependant on the needs of the child (extra for those with particularly challenging needs) which is paid weekly electronically into your bank account.
All our carers automatically become members of the Fostering Network.
