Registered Manager London Brixton, up to £63,000
Since launching in 2002, we are now working with over 100 children and young people in London, the North West and North Wales. The post of Registered Manager will be based at our London head office, where you will join a cohesive and established management team and receive regular supervision.
The successful applicant:
- A qualified social worker and manager with at least 3 years experience of managing a fostering service in the Independent sector
- Possesses a comprehensive knowledge of children's legislation with particular reference to the Fostering Regulations and NMS 2011
- Enthusiastic, self motivated and committed to facilitating good outcomes for Looked After Children in foster care
- Required to be assessed and declared 'fit to manage' by Ofsted in order to fulfil the requirements of the post, as well as holding the required management qualification
Main responsibilities
- Ensuring the smooth running of day to day operations in London and Manchester from the London office in terms of practice and administrative systems
- Supervising social work staff
- Arranging all panels, overseeing and monitoring quality of paperwork
- Ensuring that foster carer and Looked After children records are maintained and kept up to date
- Maintaining good relations with LA's
- Managing out of hours cover
- Ensuring that training is delivered to foster carers and staff
Salary: in the range £49,000 - £63,000
Hours of work: 37 a week
Holidays: 30 p.a plus bank holidays
